This morning I checked the  National Day Calendar and I discovered that today is National Napping Day. It is celebrated each year on the day following the return of daylight savings time.

That makes a lot of sense. We lost an hour of sleep yesterday, and for people in the Binghamton area, not only did you lose an hour of sleep, but if you celebrated Parade Day on Saturday, you might still be dragging from that too.

Not only did I go to the parade, but I went to the after party at Seton High School for a little while after the parade was over.

And with the weather being so nice yesterday, I was sitting outside with Chris, one of my sisters, and my brother-in-law enjoying the sunshine for most of the afternoon.  We had a cookout and watched as the dogs played together for hours. So after losing an hour of sleep and Parade day the day before, I was outside soaking up all the sun and the fresh air definitely wore me out.

I was struggling to get out of bed at 4 a.m. when the alarm was going off.

So Excuse me while I put my head down on my desk and take a nap as I celebrate National Napping Day.
