Everything We Know About Halsey’s New Album
It looks like we may not have to wait much longer for Halsey's new album.
It's been two years since the 24-year-old singer released Hopeless Fountain, and fans are wondering when she'll release new music. Unfortunately, we don't have an exact release date nor too many exact details regarding her third studio album, but what we do know is that Halsey is working really hard to make sure it's perfect.
Luckily, fans have been able to see a lot of Halsey in 2019. She released a new song called "Nightmare," as well as the mega-hit collaboration "Boy With Love" with BTS. On top of that, she dropped the track "11 minutes" with boyfriend Yungblud and gave a powerful performance of "Without Me" at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
It's safe to say we're excited for what's to come! Below, everything we know about Halsey's forthcoming album.
When is Halsey dropping her new album?
Though she has yet to confirm the exact date, she did say her new LP will arrive this year.
Is Halsey's new album called Manic?
Fans think the album is called Manic because of clues they found in the music video for her newest single, "Nightmare." In it, she holds up a mugshot with the letters "CA MNI," which might be an anagram of "Manic." It also has "10-2019" written on it, which seems to suggest an October release date.
Elsewhere in the video, there's a scene that sees Halsey and a bunch of women holding up newspapers with the name "Manic" on them.
What can we expect from Halsey's new album?
According to recent tweets, it sounds like her new album will be "loud" and very personal. She also said the writing process has been "a lesson in forgiving myself" and how to be kinder to herself.
"Writing this album has been a lesson in forgiving myself. In being proud of myself and kind to myself despite how much this world is designed to make you hate yourself," she wrote in March. "I hope when it’s finally in your hands it brings you that same peace. It’s not a quiet peace. It’s a loud one."
She also said her new record is “better” than her debut album, Badlands, and that it will feature more tracks like her hit song "Gasoline."
Will there be a tour?
Halsey has yet to confirm if there will be a tour to go with her new album, but she did mention wanting her new music to give fans new memories, which include touring and future events.
