New York State Police say the occupant of an Endwell home that was destroyed by fire overnight August 26 is accused of cooking methamphetamine.

32 year old Brent Fallon was arrested at 2:12 a.m. August 27 and charged with unlawful manufacture of meth.

Officials said the fast-moving fire started in the basement of the Wayne Street home where precursors for the manufacture of meth were found.

The two-alarm fire was first reported at 11:04 p.m. August 26 and Fallon told reporters on the scene he had been using a welding torch which had ignited some furniture.

Fallon has been ordered to appear in Town of Union Court next week.
