Endicott Woman Sentenced for Injuring Three-Year-Old

An Endicott woman is to serve three years in New York State prison for fracturing a three-year-old child’s skull in October of 2017.

26-year-old Danielle Agosto was found guilty of assault and endangering the welfare of a child for causing serious injuries to the boy while he was in her care.

Initially, the woman claimed the toddler’s injuries were the result of an accident but later agreed to accept a plea deal.  Then she changed her mind and stood trial in May.

Agosto had been looking at up to seven years in prison.

Following her release, she will be subject to three years of supervision.
