Elderly Couple Reunited

Imagine being married for 62 years and... jeez, I dont know if I can even finish the sentence; being married 62 years is unbelievable enough! Sorry haha, so imagine being married 62 years and it's time to move into a nursing home, but not together?!

An elderly couple from Canada has finally been reunited after being forced to live in separate nursing homes for more than eight months. According to their granddaughter, they've been pleading with Fraser Health Authority, which manages the assisted living residences, to allow her grandparents to live together.

The photo above shows Wolfram Gottschalk, 83, and Anita Gottschalk, 81 crying together in late August during a visitation a few months after they were first separated. Unless you've been married for a significant amount of time (which I have not haha!) I don't think it's easy to understand the pain and hurt that this couple felt.

It has recently been proved that a broken heart can actually kill a person, and I think that's what would've happened had these two not been reunited. True love <3
