Star Wars fans have to hold out another six more weeks for the release of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' but one fan might not have six weeks left in his life.

Sadly, a terminally ill man named Daniel Fleetwood isn't expected to live long enough to see the movie when it debuts on December 18th. Daniel was diagnosed this last summer summer with a rare form of tissue cancer and given only a few months to live. He says, "Judging by how progressive the disease has gotten in the past two months, I really don’t think that I’ll be able to make it."

Daniel, as well as tons of supporters, are trying to make his dying wish come true- for him to be able to see the movie before the release date. There's actually a movement on social media urging Disney to allow Daniel to see an advanced screening of the movie. And get this, Daniel actually has the support of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.

Actors Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and even the movie director J.J. Abrams have all re-tweeted Daniel's request to see 'The Force Awakens' before its release.

The decision rested in the hands of Walt Disney Studios and they came through! Daniel was able to watch the movie (under tight security) yesterday.
