Drug Take-Back and Narcan Training in Binghamton

New York State Senator Fred Akshar, Binghamton Mayor Richard David and the Southern Tier AIDS Program are hosting a “Shed the Meds” and Narcan training event June 17 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Binghamton Fire Department Training Center at 1 Belden Street.

Residents can get rid of unwanted prescription drugs but should not bring liquids.

The free Narcan training will be at 1 p.m.  Space is limited, so people should register at Akshar.NYSenate.Gov.

Last year’s Shed the Meds in the 52^nd Senate District collected over 500 pounds of drugs with an estimated street value of $180,000.
