I'm so proud of my daughters during this Coronavirus Pandemic as they both have gotten part-time jobs. Riley is supplementing her income by working at Aldi's and Tara is keeping busy and has just been hired by Price Chopper in Chenango Bridge.

I like going to these stores for their great deals and this gives me another great reason to go there. However, when I go to visit them, here is something else that I need to look for? The WIC symbol.

If you see an item that has a WIC symbol on the grocery store price sticker by the price, can I ask you to do me a favor? Buy something else. I didn't realize this before but people who use WIC to feed their families cannot switch to another brand or kind of food.

If the store runs out of WIC-approved options, they will go home without these much-needed items. So when you are making your next shopping run to stock up while practicing your Social Distancing, can you do two things? 1) Look for the WIC symbol 2) Leave the item there.

Wait, make it 3 things. Let other's know about it too. I would want to know and I'm sure others wouldn't mind either.

Hopefully, the restriction on WIC spending will be waived until the COVID-19 crisis is over but for now, this is one way that you can do your part to help those who need it during this difficult time.

THANK YOU!!!
