Yes, you read that correctly.

Apparently, U.S. President Donald J. Trump hypothetically wanted to buy Greenland. Greenland is under the ownership of Denmark. According to the New Yorker, Denmark isn't selling Greenland, but they are looking to buy. The catch? That want the entire U.S. without the government.

The New Yorker reports that a Danish government spokesperson said, "We have noted, however, that during the Trump regime, pretty much everything in the United States, including its government, has most definitely been for sale." Denmark already has big plans for the U.S. They intend to give the U.S. a new education system and national health care. They say this would transform it from a "vast landmass into a great nation."

However, there is a provision that would require the relocation of sitting U.S. President, Donald J. Trump. The New Yorker reports that Trump would be relocated to another country that's to be determined if Denmark were to purchase the U.S. Russia and North Korea was cited as possible relocation sites.
