Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they were called about a one-vehicle crash on Locust Avenue in the Town of Cortlandville at 4:47 p.m. December 12 and found 45-year-old Jennifer Dugan trapped in her overturned vehicle.

Authorities say Dugan had apparently drifted off the road, sheared off a utility pole and her car overturned.

Locust Avenue was closed while emergency crews removed Dugan from the vehicle, cleaned up the scene and reattached the downed utility pole and power lines.

Dugan was treated for minor injuries.

She’s charged with driving while intoxicated, speed not reasonable, driving over hazard markings and consuming alcohol in a vehicle.
