Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say a Pennsylvania man is fine but facing several charges following an encounter with a deer and a tree that wrecked his car.

Authorities say 21-year-old Damian Bleck of Friendsville was driving on Bloody Pond Road in the Town of Willet at night October 13 when he said he hit a deer and went off the road.  His car was found smashed into a tree.

Deputies say they located him at 7:50 a.m. October 14 at a nearby home, uninjured.

Bleck is charged with misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation and violations counts of failure to keep right, leaving the scene of an accident, speeding, unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana.
