The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team is training hard in the off-season in preparation for the 2018-19 season.  To help his team get ready for the America East Conference season Coach Tommy Dempsey and his staff are amping up the non-conference portion of the schedule.

The Bearcats will play three major college opponents on this season's schedule.  In an afternoon press conference Coach Dempsey announced that the men will travel for games at Notre Dame, at the University of Michigan and at Northwestern.  The dates and start times will be released soon along with the rest of the 2018-19 season schedule.

Two of the announced opponents have hosted Binghamton teams in previous seasons.  Michigan  (Big Ten Conference) hosted the Bearcats in the 2004-05 and 2012-13 seasons and won both times.  The Bearcats played at Notre Dame (Atlantic Coast Conference) in the 2014-15 season and fell 82-39.  This will be the first meeting between the Bearcats and Wildcats who are members of the Big Ten Conference.
