The Binghamton Bearcats hope to amp up their attack this season.  Fans can expect to see lots of speed up and down the court.  Coach Tommy Dempsey has wanted to play at a faster pace in past seasons  but did not feel he had a team that fit the mold.  Now he believes he does.

Eight newcomers are listed as part of BU's 15-man roster.  Prime returners for Binghamton are 6-9 Center/Forward Thomas Bruce and guard J.C.Show.  Both are now seniors and both want to leave their mark on Binghamton basketball.  Injuries have been issues for both over the years.  Show has suffered through plantar fasciitis and a torn triceps muscle and now is determined to take his play to a higher level.  His ability if he stays healthy could be of all-conference capability.  Bruce has been a dominate force in Binghamton's inside game.  Currently, he is out recovering from a concussion.  He has had several during his stay in Binghamton and there is no timetable for his return.

One key to Binghamton's success this season could be in the play of freshman point guard Sam Sessoms.  Sessoms will be vital in the quicker uptempo play for BU.  He also can put up plenty of points...averaging over 28 points per game in his senior season at The Shipley School in Philadelphia.

Binghamton's season opens on Tuesday night, November 6th when the Bearcats host the Cornell Big Red at the Events Center.  All games home and away will again be broadcast on News Radio 1290 WNBF and CBS Sports Radio 1360 AM.
