‘The Simpsons’ Gave BTS a Sneaky Shout-Out in Their Latest Episode
BTS and their loyal ARMY have officially made it onto The Simpsons.
In the show's most recent episode titled “E My Sport," which aired on Sunday, March 17, the characters visit South Korean for a gaming competition. Though the BTS boys—Jimin, V, RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jungkook, and Jin—didn't make an animated cameo themselves, this low-key shout-out was enough to make the group's fandom go wild.
The first reference comes in the form of a poster, which can be seen as Homer, Marge, Lisa, and Maggie walk down a street in Seoul. If you look closely, you can see a sign stuck against the door of a restaurant called "Chick Korea Fried Chicken" with the letters BTS alongside a few Korean words that translate to "BTS will be here today!"
Then, a few seconds later, the group gets a second shout-out—and this time, you can see the words "BTS ARMY" at the bottom right-hand corner of the shot with Korean words below it that translate to "(Army) Recruitment Center."

The shout-out is just another feat to add to the list of things BTS has accomplished this year. Not only did they present at the 2019 Grammys, but they also landed their first-ever Saturday Night Live gig, which airs Saturday, April 13 on NBC. Other than that, they've also announced their new album, a new stadium tour (which has outsold artists like the Rolling Stones, Cardi B, and more!), as well as won iHeartRadio's Best Fan Army award.
