BTS have yet another record to add to their massive list of achievements.

The group's music video for "Idol" has officially surpassed Taylor Swift for most-viewed video within 24 hours on YouTube, racking up over 56.2 million views within the first day of its release. (It's currently at 61.8 million views). The title was previously held by Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do," unveiled during the MTV Video Music Awards last August, which pulled in 43.2 million views in its first 24 hours.

According to Soompi, the feat also marks BTS' all-time most-viewed video within 24 hours: Their May video for "Fake Love" previously secured 35.9 million views within its first day of release.

"IDOL" is the first MV to come from BTS' new repackaged album Love Yourself: Answer, the third project in their Love Yourself series. The visuals cover a lot of ground in three minutes, featuring tons of colorful animation, references to the group's Korean heritage, and, of course, their signature, streamlined choreography.

BTS also surprised fans on Friday (August 25) with a special version of the track featuring Nicki Minaj. Here's hoping they do another video with her soon.
