Although House Speaker Nancy Pelosi hasn't ruled out another impeachment effort to slow confirmation of President Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Congressman Anthony Brindisi says he wouldn't support such a move.

In an interview on Tuesday, Brindisi said he didn't know the origin of the idea of possibly using impeachment in connection with the upcoming nomination battle.

Speaking on WNBF's Binghamton Now program, Brindisi indicated he would not back a move to impeach the president as a tool to slow down the process of filling the court seat vacated by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

During an ABC News interview Sunday, Pelosi was asked about the possibility of impeachment if Republicans choose to move quickly to act on the president's nominee.

Pelosi said Democrats "have our options" but she wasn't going to discuss them.
