Binghamton University’s $60 Million Baseball Complex Really Is a Sight To Be Seen
In February of 2020, Binghamton University revealed that an anonymous individual had gifted the University $60 million dollars to build a new Baseball Stadium Complex. Two years later, that complex is nearly complete.
The gift of $60 million dollars means that Binghamton University is now home to a state-of-the-art Baseball Stadium Complex and world-class facilities for its baseball players through what has been called a "historic donation."
The Baseball Sports Complex is not completely finished yet, but it was opened to fans this spring and what has already been completed is most definitely impressive.
The Binghamton University Baseball Stadium Complex is an 84,000-square-foot facility that includes a brand new stadium, clubhouse, and indoor training facility. The complex also features additional fan seating, brand new locker rooms, and batting cages. The coaches' offices and the athletic training room are also brand new.
Leaving literally nothing unthought of, the complex is outfitted with an indoor training facility that boasts a turf infield and four-story ceilings so that athletes can practice all through the year.
The staggering gift not only makes the Baseball Stadium Complex state of the art, but it also meets NCAA requirements which will allow the University to host post-season tournament play. Additionally, the impressive facilities will no doubt give Binghamton University an upper hand in its recruitment of four and five-star athletes.
