State police say a Binghamton resident faces charges following a report that a vehicle had been parked in the middle of a driving lane of Route 26.

Authorities say 35-year-old Christopher Lindow was arrested around 11:45 p.m. Monday in the town of Bainbridge.

Officials say a passing motorist called the Chenango County 911 Center to advise that the stopped vehicle was blocking the roadway.

Troopers who investigated the situation determined that Lindow had been driving while intoxicated.

Police say Lindow's blood alcohol content was measured at 0.29 percent. That's more than three times the legal limit. He was charged with DWI and several traffic infractions.

Lindow was issued tickets by the troopers. He was directed to appear in Bainbridge town court on April 5.
