Binghamton K-Mart Layaway Customers Get Balances Paid Off
Several shoppers at the Binghamton K-Mart are finding they have more money to spend on things like groceries and clothes after a charity paid their layaway balances.
'Pay Away the Layaway' is a non-profit founded in 2011 by Binghamton University graduate, Lee Karchawaer, as a way to thank his college-years adopted community.
More than a dozen shoppers were surprised by the pay off and the charity spent over $2,500.
