After a delay by the previous Presidential administration, it seems that we might be seeing some Tubmans sooner than later.

CNN is reporting that President Biden and his team are searching for ways to increase the speed in issuing the new $20 bill's. Those bills were initially discussed in 2016 and would've been ready for release by 2020.

In a press conference on Monday, Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki, told reporters that this was a priority for the Administration.

It's important that our notes, our money, if people don't know what a note is, reflect the history and diversity of our country, and Harriet Tubman's image gracing the new $20 note would certainly reflect that
-Jen Psaki, White House press secretary

The release of the bill was delayed due to what was described as technical issues by Steven Mnuchin, the former Secretary of the Treasury. In an interview, he reported that the bill wouldn't be ready until at least 2028.

Harriet Tubman who lead dozens of slaves to freedom in the north, and Canada, during her time as a conductor on the Underground Railroad would replace Andrew Jackson, who was the 7th President of the United States, on the $20 bill.

I don't know about you, but I can not wait until I can pull some Tubmans out of my wallet to pay for things.
