Three  Binghamton University men's basketball standouts have been honored by America East.  Sam Sessoms, George Tinsley and Brenton Mills all received recognition from America East in voting by the conference's head coaches.

Sam Sessoms has been selected to the America East All-Conference Second Team.  Sessoms leads all players in scoring averaging 19.4 points per game through the end of the regular season.  UMass Lowell's Christian Lutete is averaging 19.2 points per game and the River Hawks are still playing as they visit Hartford tomorrow at 5:00 PM in a Quarterfinal Playoff. Sessoms is tied for first place in assists per game with Hartford's Traci Carter at 4.8 per game.  Carter is still playing and will be in action when the Hawks meet UMass Lowell on Saturday.

George Tinsley has been named the AE Rookie of the Year. The Clarks Summit, Pa. native was the top freshman scorer in the conference with an average of 11.6 points per game. He finished second in the conference overall with 7.4 rebounds per game. Tinsley leads the conference and is second in the nation averaging 38:23 minutes per game.  He follows sophomore teammate Sam Sessoms who was last season's Freshman of the Year.

Fellow freshman Brenton Mills ranked third among all freshmen in the conference with an average of 9.7 points per game. He was the top three-point scorer on the Bearcats and third in the conference among freshmen.  Mills top point performance was 23 versus Hartwick.
