I am the Brand Manager for Wild 104, the Southern Tier's #1 Hit Music Station, and a DJ for over 20 years now (yikes!). My first station was R.I.T.'s WITR in the early 90's, where I first used the air name "Matty J". I then started an internship in Syracuse, working for "The Ragman", who gave me the air name "Jimmy Olsen" on 93Q. UNFORTUNATELY, the nick name stuck, and I spent a good dozen years there, as an intern, then weekend part-time DJ, overnight DJ, night-time DJ/Music Director, and finally midday DJ/Assistant Program Director. In 2006, I got the opportunity to come down to Binghamton to run Wild 104, and I have enjoyed my time here since. I was married last summer, and am happy to say the honeymoon continues. I enjoy hosting two team trivia nights here in Binghamton, on Tuesday nights at Applebee's on the Vestal Parkway, and on Thursday nights at Antonio's Galleria and Cafe in Endicott. Join me some time for a trivia night! As Wild 104 Brand Manager, I am ultimately responsible for anything you hear on the radio station or see on this website. Please email me with any comments or suggestions. Thanks for visiting.

Don’t Buy an iPad or Other Type of Tablet Computer Until Apple’s Big Announcement on the 23rd
Sometimes when you buy tech products is as important as what you buy. I have a co-worker who bought an iPhone 4S about a month before the iPhone 5 came out, at the same price. They now have this year-old phone for 2 more years under contract, when they could have spent the same amount for the new one. Don't let this happen to you. Apple is likely to announce a new iPad 'Mini' next week, so if y

It's another Wild 104 New Music Tuesday. New this week to Wild 104 are a couple of singles from two of pop's heavy-hitters. Give a first listen to the new songs from Rihanna and Bruno Mars, that debut this week on Wild 104.
Just Because My Dog Can’t Dance Like He Used To, Don’t Call Him Lame
Last week I wrote about my dog Charley, who has started having some problems with his back legs. Thank you for the kind words from those who passed them along, he's doing well. We went to the vet today, and he prescribed some anti-inflammatory pills to try. I'm hopeful about the results, but I think the instructions on the prescription label are just too funny!
Use Your Computer to Easily Make a Shopping List on Your iPhone
I'm always trying to find ways to get better organized. Since I am a fan of gadgets, most of the ways I try to get organized are gadget-based. From a CASIO watch that held 25 phone numbers, to Palm Pilots, to my iPhone, I have had some success keeping my contacts and calendar organized. What I haven't been able to do is easily make a shopping list for a gadget, until now.

It’s Tough When ‘Man’s Best Friend’ Gets Old
My dog Charley is getting old, and it's tough to watch. You don't ever think about it when you take home that cute puppy for the first time, and it's the last thing on your mind on a summer day when he keeps bringing back that frisbee until he is panting. He's 13 this year, and he's starting to have some trouble getting around.
Binghamton Mayor Matt Ryan Does NOT Host The Weekly PopCrush Top 20
Although every Sunday from 8AM until 10AM you can hear Matt Ryan host the PopCrush Top 20, it's not Binghamton Mayor Matt Ryan. The host of the PopCrush Top 20 is a completely different Matt Ryan. Please do not call PopCrush host Matt Ryan to complain about a pothole on your street, or to ask him for a key to the city...

Happy 30th Birthday to the CD Player
It's hard to think that something that can hold 'only' 72 minutes of crystal clear music on a shiny 5-inch disc was ever state of the art, but the venerable CD was exactly that. On October 1st, 1982, Sony released the CDP-101, the first CD player available to consumers for about $730. In a time where storage is virtually unlimited (I have a day and a half worth of music on my PHONE), it's hard
