Athletic Fields Damaged in Binghamton and Port Dickinson
Police in Binghamton and Port Dickinson are investigating damage over the weekend of October 20 to athletic fields.
Tires have torn up the sports fields at the Port Dickinson Community Park and the First Ward Park.
It’s not clear if the vandalism was the work of a single party or group or just coincidental that both parks would be damaged over the same weekend.
The deep, muddy ruts are expected to take several weeks to fix at a cost of thousands of dollars.
The damage comes just days before the fields were to be officially closed for the season.
