Ariana Grande returned to Manchester to headline the Manchester Pride 2019 celebration. This marked Grande's first performance in the city since her One Love Manchester benefit, which was held on June 4, 2017.

Prior to the event, Grande tweeted, "On our way to manchester pride. Love you so much. Can’t wait to give you all our love. You’re my heart in every way. See you soon." She even bedazzled her manager, Scooter Braun's, face for the Pride event.

Her return was an emotional day, to say the least. Just two years ago on May 22, 2017, a suicide bomber killed 22 people at a nearby railway station while she was finishing her concert at the Manchester Arena. Because of her benefit concert and charitable work, Grande became an honorary citizen by the Manchester City Council.

Grande performed the headlining Manchester Pride set on Sunday (August 25) closing out the festival. Grande kicked things off with her hit, "No Tears Left to Cry." Fans were thrilled to see Grande back in the city, especially for an event to celebrate LGBTQ+ people.
