The 37th Annual CHOW Hunger Walk is being held this Sunday at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton.  In recent years the event was held on campus at Binghamton University.

The walk originally was held in Endicott and started and ended at En Joie Golf Course. Otsiningo Park was also at one time the "second" site for the CHOW Hunger Walk.  This occurred to enable people in Binghamton or further east to have a closer walk site while the main walk was held in Endicott.

Registration at the event begins at 1:00 PM and the walk gets underway at 2:00 PM.  CHOW which is part of the Broome County Council of Churches is short for Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse.

According to information released by CHOW the organization distributes over two million pounds of food in Broomy annually.  Food provided through CHOW feeds approximately 3,000 people each month.  For every dollar contributed to CHOW four meals can be provided to needy people.

The CHOW Hunger Walk is open to all ages with a requested minimum donation.  Details and an entry form can be found online at:
