Emergency services officials say a training exercise is to be conducted at Union-Endicott High School.

Authorities say law enforcement agencies will be at the school for several hours Friday for an active shooter training operation.

According to the Broome County Office of Emergency Services, there will be several emergency vehicles at the school on East Main Street but they won't be there for an actual incident.

The exercise is designed to prepare police and other emergency agencies for an active shooter incident in a school setting.

The training operation is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
