Binghamton, Johnson City and Endicott are sharing an $80 million New York State grant to improve quality of life.

There are 32 projects under the funding umbrella ranging from tearing down blighted properties for use as housing and commercial development to establishing facilities and programs for the arts.

The Greater Binghamton Fund will cover about 20% of selected project costs with the municipalities and private sources providing the remaining financing.
