If snow, sleet, freezing rain, and super cold temperatures bring you joy,  you're going to love what's headed our way. If you hate winter, we're sorry.  Florida is calling.

Since 1818, the Farmer's Almanac has been predicting what sort of weather we'll see each season and for the most part, their predictions are right on the money. So how bad is the upcoming winter going to be? Well, "bad" might not be the word as much as "coaster" will be.

According to the Farmer's Almanac, an interesting wintry ride is ahead of us. The Farmer’s Almanac is warning that all of the northeast should brace for even colder (how is that even possible, Polar Vortex anyone?) temperatures than we've seen in a while along with quite a bit more snow than we've had in the last few years (the kiddos will love that).

The winter of 2019-2020 will take us on a coaster ride of mild to extreme weather conditions, but if you're trying to plan out life and wondering when the worst of the weather will hit, the Farmer’s Almanac is predicting that from January 4–7 and again January 12–15 the Northeast could, experience “copious amounts of snow, rain, sleet, and ice.

So, what can we expect as we prepare to step into fall? It looks like the cooler weather we’re experiencing right now will continue through this week and that we'll also see some scattered rain and thunderstorms. Labor Day weekend will be cooler than usual and actually, it looks like it might not be a bad idea to dig out your rain boots because if the Farmer's Almanac is right, the entire month of September is forecasted to be a soggy one.
