Let me just tell you- there's something incredibly attractive about a man who can cook a meal, not only for himself but also for others.  And no, I don't mean pouring soup from a can into a bowl or opening a box of mac and cheese. I'm talking about a man who can make a bonafide meal.

Lucky for us, there are quite a few local men who can do just that and to prove it, they're stepping up to the plate to show off their cooking skills while supporting the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier with the 14th Annual Men Who Cook Amateur Chef Competition and Public Tasting.

From local celebrities to community leaders, businessmen to politicians, this event is all about men who can cook, and cook well.

Men Who Cook will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton on Water Street in Downtown Binghamton on Friday, September 30th, from 5:30pm to 9pm.

The Men Who Cook event will showcase the talents of amateur male chefs who will serve everything from appetizers to entrees to desserts at more than 20 different tasting stations. In addition to food, there will also be a silent auction and raffles.

Tickets are $40 and you can get them here or by calling 607-771-8888, ext. 336.
