Hopefully, if you are stuck at home, you are getting a lot of quality time with your family.  What better time to share some classic movies with your kids!

There are lots of ways to pass the time when you are at home.  Movies are great, but if you aren't the kind of person who likes to pick them willy nilly, you want the classics!

These are the movies that kids and adults alike seem to love. They've withstood the test of time and will draw you in for a couple hours.

These movies are meant more for older children (probably above 10 years old depending on how mature your child is).  I'll admit, some of them have a little more colorful language than I remember, but they're still great movies.  I would encourage you to watch the movies (if you haven't already seen them) before you put your kids in front of them.

Here we go...10 movies that you should watch with your family during the quarantine:

1.  Goonies - This one definitely has more bad words in it than I remember, but what a great movie about a bunch of misfit kids who go on a crazy treasure hunt to find One Eyed Willy's gold.

2.  The Never Ending Story - This one is all about the power of reading.  As a boy reads a book, he becomes part of the story!

3.  The Sandlot - Strong language in this one too about a group of boys who have a love for baseball and gather every day at the sandlot to play.

4.  Stand By Me - Hard to believe this one was written by Steven King.  It's not all that scary, even though it's about a group of boys that are on a mission to find a dead body.

5.  The Princess Bride - Follow along as a grandfather tells his grandson the story of a princess who is separated from her true love.  Yes, it sounds mushy, but boys will like this one too.

6.  Big - Imagine, you make a wish that one day you could just be big and do all the stuff adults get to do - then you wake up the next morning and find out that it came true.  What would you do first?

7.  Labyrinth - Sara wishes that her younger brother would get taken away by the goblin king.  Then when her wish comes true, she has to make her way through his maze to get him back.

8.  Planes, Trains, and Automobiles - One of the coolest things about this one is that a couple of the scenes were filmed here in Western New York.  Plus it's Steve Martin and John Candy...so it's hilarious!

9.  Ferris Beuller's Day Off - They should be able to relate to this one...what do you do with a free day off of school?  First Ferris has to trick his parents into believing he's sick, but then the rest of the day is up to him!

10.  Hook - It's the story of Peter Pan...with a twist.  Take a trip to Neverland with Tink and the rest of the gang.
