Zayn Malik left One Direction nearly a year before the band went on hiatus in early 2016. Now, in the December 2018 issue of British Vogue, the hitmaker reveals a bit more about his experience in the group and his relationship (or lack thereof) with his former bandmates today.

"I ain't spoke to any of them for a long time, to be honest with you," Malik reveals in the interview. Things get juicier when he adds: "There's things that happen and things that were said after I left... Snide things."

This isn't the first time Malik has publicly spoken not-so-lovingly about his fellow One Direction members. In a January 2016 Billboard cover story, Zayn shared of leaving the group, "I had every intention of remaining friends with everybody, but I guess certain phone numbers have changed and I haven’t received calls from a lot of people."

The final nail in the 1D coffin might be Zayn confirming to British Vogue he didn't make a single friend while part of the group. I guess we shouldn't hold our breath for a One Direction reunion anytime soon, then?

Read the full Zayn interview, including more on his relationship and life with girlfriend Gigi Hadid, when the magazine hits newsstands November 9.
