Troopers say 24-year-old Jafar Sarker sped up after they tried to pull him over, reaching speeds exceeding 120 mph as he swerved to try to evade the trooper.

Sarker exited the highway by the Hiawatha Bridge and came to a stop.

Troopers say they found he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Sarker was sent to the Tioga County Jail on $1,000 bail.
