Uber Eats is Waiving Delivery Fees for Purchases from Black-Owned Restaurants through the end of the year, according to WGRZ  extending Blackout Day 2020 yesterday when African-Americans were urged to spend money with Black-Owned Businesses.  Blackout Day 2020 got widespread recognition after the recent deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and others, according to a WGRZ News report.

The WGRZ News report says that Google reported that searches for “Black-owned businesses near me” reached an all-time high last month in the U.S. and that a search for Black-owned businesses through Yelp also helped people looking for those specific businesses in their area and Uber Eats is waiving delivery fees for purchases from Black-owned restaurants through the end of the year.
