Johnson City police say the man they believe fatally shot a Binghamton woman around sunrise on Easter Sunday has been taken into custody.

Authorities say 29-year-old Corey Robinson was found Thursday night in Marietta, Georgia. He is being held in the Cobb County Jail.

Johnson City police chief Brent Dodge said 46-year-old Erika Smith Cunningham was found dead when officers arrived at 92 Crocker Avenue shortly after 6:30 Sunday morning.

An arrest warrant was issued on Thursday and Robinson was taken into custody a few hours later.

Dodge said the arrest of Robinson followed a "massive investigation" involving more than 100 leads.

Detectives believe Cunningham - who lived in Binghamton - was not the intended target of the shooter.

Robinson is to be charged with second-degree murder in connection with the woman's death. Extradition proceedings are underway. It may take over a week before he is brought back to Broome County.
