Snow Greets the Start of Spring in the Twin Tiers
The National Weather Service says there will likely be snow on the ground for the arrival of the Vernal Equinox in the Twin Tiers.
The Binghamton area was expecting a couple inches through the day March 20 but the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania was under a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 p.m.
Forecasters say the snow was expected to spread across the region through the morning and into midday ending between 3 and 6 p.m.
Snowfall totals in Pennsylvania were projected at 3-5 inches with up to 6 inches at higher elevations like the Poconos.
Roads were expected to be slippery for the afternoon commute.
