After serving as executive editor at the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin for five-and-a-half years, Neill Borowski is moving to Gannett's flagship newspaper.

Borowski is to start work in his new job at USA Today next Monday. He announced the move in a Facebook post Tuesday afternoon.

In the post, Borowski said he will be Enterprise and Watchdog Editor in the Washington bureau of the national newspaper.

Borowski has been executive editor for Gannett Central New York Media Group since July 2013. He has overseen news content for the company's Binghamton, Elmira and Ithaca news operations.

In his online announcement, Borowski observed that it's "an exciting time to get involved in Washington coverage."

In the Facebook message, the editor said he's "had great fun" working in upstate New York for the last several years but he added that he's looking forward "to somewhat warmer temperatures."

Before coming to Binghamton, Borowski was at The Press of Atlantic City.
