Broome County Sheriff's officials are releasing the name of the driver who was killed when his Sport Utility Vehicle crashed into a historic stone barn in the Town of Fenton August 26.

Authorities say 48 year old Matthew Stanton was alone in the Chevrolet Equinox when the vehicle left Route 369 in Port Crane at around 7 a.m. and crashed into the barn.

Stanton was pronounced dead at the scene.
