Motorcycle/ Car Crash Under Investigation in Johnson City

Johnson City Police are investigating a collision involving a motorcycle and a car on Route 201 in the Village May 8.

The biker was initially said to have suffered serious injuries in the 7:30 p.m. crash that closed Route 201 South at the Route 17 East ramp four almost four hours.

Traffic was diverted onto Harry L. Drive then to the Route 17 cloverleaf by the Oakdale Mall to get back on track.

Johnson City Police and Broome Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene along with fire and ambulance crews.

The names of those involved and extent of injuries have not been released.
