Binghamton University SUNY Business Education Cooperative of the Southern Tier (SUNY BEST) is hosting a discussion about the revitalization of Johnson City at 12 p.m. December 6 at the Koffman Southern Tier Incubator on Hawley Street in Binghamton.

Distinguished Service Professor John Frazier will talk about the story mapping project that outlines the revitalization process.

Frazier says he and graduate students are looking at the businesses and people who are redeveloping buildings in the Village following decades of decline starting in the 1960s.

The project has looked at everything from the age, race and tenure of residents to land use, crime and property ownership.

After learning about the impact from University, state and private investors on the community, attendees can also network with one another after the presentation and learn more about the Koffman Incubator.

Registration for the free presentation can be made at http://sunybest.binghamton.edu.
