A Johnson City man is to appear in Village Court later this month to answer to a long list of charges following a chase in a vehicle and on foot.

Village Police say they tried to stop 51 year old Jeffry Brozovic at 12:26 a.m. July 28 when they saw him speeding on Route 201 North.  When authorities attempted to stop the vehicle, it continued on and exited onto the Route 17 west ramp then traveled up the ramp onto 201 South, all at a high rate of speed.  Police say the vehicle exited to Main Street, turned down a side street and onto the railroad tracks. Police finally caught up to Brozovic running on the railroad tracks north of Endwell Street.

He is charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher, reckless driving, obstructing governmental administration, two counts of speeding, two counts of no turn signal, two counts of moving from a lane unsafely and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
