A man faces felony weapon and larceny charges after he allegedly drove away in a Johnson City woman's car.

Authorities say 43-year-old Timothy Rock of Brooklyn was arrested Thursday. He was charged with grand larceny and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

Investigators say the woman told police she had planned to pick up Rock at a Grand Avenue residence. After she went inside the home to use the bathroom, Rock allegedly drove off in her vehicle.

The woman said Rock called her a short time later to let her know he had been involved in a crash with her car on Baxter Street in Binghamton.

Rock was sent to Broome County Jail after he was taken into custody by Binghamton police on other charges.

Johnson City authorities learned Rock had possessed a handgun while he was at the Grand Avenue residence. Officers checked the place and found a loaded handgun.
