Whenever you see someone in fear, or when you are feeling fear yourself, there are physical signs that show that they are scared of something, whatever it is. Bustle put together a list of some physical signs of fear that you may not have thought of before.

  • Heartburn can be a sign of fear because when you're stressed, afraid or anxious, your body will produce excess stomach acid which leads to heartburn and acid reflux.
  • Exhaustion if your way of coping with a fear is to keep yourself busy and avoid thinking about it, then you could cause yourself to burn out and be physically exhausted.
  • Cloud your thoughts and ability to think clearly because you're so worried or afraid that you can't really think about anything else. This could affect your job performance and general life outside of this fear.

Whatever it is that you might be afraid of, addressing it head-on might be the only way to get rid of these symptoms and moving on to a healthier state of mind.
