After a wait roughly as long as the Andal invasion, we finally know when to expect Game of Thrones Season 8.

While at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour on Wednesday (July 25), HBO president Casey Bloys confirmed that GOT's six-episode final chapter will premiere in the first half of 2019, meaning somewhere between the span of January and June. It's not an exact date, but given the number times fans have probably refreshed their web pages hoping for any semblance of an announcement, it's certainly a step up — and, realistically, means the show's return is not all that far away. It could be hitting screens as soon as six months from now.

Given the fantasy epic's past timeline, GoT viewers can likely expect Season 8 to arrive somewhere around March or April, when it's first six seasons debuted. Season 7, which aired last summer, has been the only exception.

Bloys also revealed the series' Age of Heroes-set spinoff is still happening, with filming set to begin in Belfast in early 2019. GoT author/executive producer George R.R. Martin and feature writer Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, Kingsman: The Golden Circle) will serve as showrunners, while a search for director and casting director are currently underway.

As far as any of the other four (!!) reported spinoffs, Bloys said there are "no plans."
