Authorities say a person died after being run over by a tandem tractor-trailer at the Maines Paper and Food Service distribution center in Conklin.

The Broome County Sheriff's Office was notified of the incident at the facility on Broome Corporate Parkway just before 2 a.m. Friday.

Investigators say an unresponsive person was reported to be on the ground near the loading docks. That person was dead when a sheriff's deputy arrived.

Detectives believe the driver of a parked truck was in between his rig and a tandem tractor-trailer parked in the yard when he was struck by the other truck as it pulled away.

Officials say there was no immediate indication of wrongdoing or anything suspicious in connection with the death.

Investigators say relatives of the person who died had been notified.
