Binghamton police say they've arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal drive-by shooting of a man on Main Street.

Authorities say 21-year-old Keyama St. Joy of Endicott has been charged with second-degree murder. He's accused of killing 27-year-old Daequan Dickerson of Binghamton.

The shooting happened near American Legion Post 80 shortly after 4:30 a.m. on September 16.

Binghamton police detective captain John Ryan announced the arrest late Wednesday afternoon. He said St. Joy was taken into custody near an Endwell apartment complex on September 27 without incident.

Ryan said no one else has been charged in connection with the incident at this point. He would not comment on a possible motive in the shooting.

The case now is being handled by the Broome County District Attorney's Office.
