Broome County Emergency Services officials say a panel truck and another vehicle went down an embankment near the bridge over Main Street in sight of the Vestal Rail Trail and Coal House at around 4 a.m.

One person was reportedly treated for an injury and the New York State Department of Transportation was called out to place cones and later replace several feet of guiderail that was taken out in the crash.

Authorities said both vehicles sustained heavy damage with wheels off one and the roof damaged on the second as it rolled down the embankment.

A lane of the expressway was closed for a couple hours.
