The Binghamton Bearcats women's lacrosse team did something on Saturday that no other Bearcat team had done...defeat the New Hampshire Wildcats.  In 16 previous meetings the Wildcats were 16-0 against the Bearcats.  That streak came to an end on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex with Binghamton rolling to a 13-7 victory.

The Bearcats were up at the half 4-2.  Brianne Arthur finished with five goals to key the Bearcat offense.  Emma Jehle turned in seven saves in net for the Bearcats.

With the win the Bearcats clinch a third seed for this upcoming weekend at host and number one seed Stony Brook.

With the BU win the Bearcats conclude the regular season at 8-8 and 5-2 in America East.  The Wildcats finish at 6-10 and 4-3 in conference play.

Should the Bearcats earn a semifinal victory that would move them into the championship game on Sunday also at Stony Brook.  BU Head Women's Lacrosse coach Stephanie Allen will preview the Bearcats' playoff opener against Albany with Roger Neel on News Radio 1290 WNBF at 8:35 A.M this Wednesday morning.
