Bridge Replacement Hearing in Kirkwood

The Broome County Department of Public Works is holding a Public Information Meeting July 31 to talk about replacing the Colesville Road Bridge in the Town of Kirkwood.

The meeting takes place starting at 6 p.m. at the Kirkwood Town Hall on Crescent Drive.

Officials say the County Public Works Department in cooperation with the New York State Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration are working on design alternatives for the replacement of the span over Duell Creek.  The replacement will address structural deficiencies and increase the hydraulic capacity of the crossing.

Transportation representatives are looking for comments and will answer questions about the proposed project.
