Binghamton Restaurant Week continues through Thursday April 14th. It's your opportunity to sample great tastes from many Binghamton restaurants. Each establishment has designed a special menu, representing some of their signature dishes.

You'll find either 2, 3 or 4 course designed lunches and/or dinners from each restaurant, and it is a great way to try a new place, or restaurant you may know of, but never stopped in to try out what they have to offer.

Our production guy, Bill Lake and I were lucky to have been able to visit Little Venice for lunch on Wednesday to try out their exclusive Restaurant Week menu.

Bill's appetizer was the bruschetta, and it was awesome (he let me try some as well)! Usually, you expect bruschetta to come on top of small, thin slices of bread, but this was not the case. I got the Italian egg roll as my appetizer, with the meat log option. You just can't go wrong with the homemade meat logs from Little Venice, and this was fully the case with the Italian egg rolls as well. They were really good!

Bill's main entree was the rigatoni with house-made vodka sauce. I almost decided on this as my meal, but I thought that in order to give a fair review, we should diversify. He tells me that it was probably the best rigatoni-a-la-vodka that he has had. I got the chicken cutlet parmigiana as my main course, and it was really phenomenal. Just the right amount of crunch to the breading, but not too much breading all together. This came with a side of some clearly homemade spaghetti, and Little Venice makes the best spaghetti in their kitchen. Check it out, looks delicious, right?

As both of our stomachs were clearly full, we got our desserts to go. His choice: the white chocolate blueberry cheesecake cupcake (I couldn't get a picture fro him as he was hoarding it pretty closely for himself, as he should have! I got the brownie sundae, which was very good, and the vanilla ice cream that came with it was full of flavor - which is difficult to find with vanilla ice cream!

All in all, Little Venice is always a top-notch choice, and even more so with the great three course meal bargain that you will get during Binghamton Restaurant Week! Check it out before the deals are gone, runs from April 4th - 14th!
