A man arrested after a reported dispute in Binghamton has been found guilty of three charges.

According to the Broome County District Attorney's office, 36-year-old Mesha Taylor of Binghamton was convicted in a bench trial.

Taylor was convicted of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. He also was convicted of unlawful imprisonment and menacing, both misdemeanors.

Authorities say Taylor was arrested by city police on May 18 following the incident on Downs Avenue.

During the trial, prosecutors maintained Taylor possessed a semi-automatic handgun and unlawfully restrained a woman during a domestic dispute.

Investigators say the handgun used in the incident had been reported stolen from Marengo County, Alabama.

Taylor is scheduled to be sentenced on March 22.
